Let me make this clear up front: I could not be happier with the quality of the service I received from Kel Aire and their technician Matt. Absolutely outstanding.┬áHad Kel Aire send a technician to my home when the central heat system quit working this past weekend. I called on Monday morning and they were able to get someone to my home on Thursday morning. I was quite happy as two other outfits I called had longer lead times. Not surprisingly, this is a busy time of year for furnace repairs. The office person called me when the technician was leaving his first job of the day to come to my home. This was very helpful to me as it avoided me just waiting around all morning for the tech to show up. Instead I left work and met the technician there. The tech’s name is Matt, and he arrived on time and went right to work troubleshooting my 25-year old Carrier furnace. He quickly figured out that the igniter was bad. Matt showed me the part and where it had failed. He also clearly explained the cost of the replacement part and associated labor before starting so there would be no surprise. Fortunately he had one on the truck so he was able to complete the job right then. After replacing the part and confirming that the system was working again, Matt cleaned the burners , checked the current draw on the blower motor, and the general condition of some of the other key components. Matt also clearly explained how the overall furnace system works, giving me a better understanding of it. Kel Aire will be first and only outfit I call in the future if I need furnace repair or replacement.
